STAR Autism Support is committed to providing a website and learning products that are accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We’re actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and adhering to many of the available standards and guidelines.
Conformance standard
This website endeavors to conform to level AA of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines will help make the web more user-friendly for everyone.
Measures we take
Our team aims to follow accessibility best practices including: alt text on meaningful images, sufficient color contrast on text and interactive elements, keyboard-navigable interfaces, and clear focus states on interactive elements.
We test new pages with keyboard navigation, screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver), and automated tools as part of our release process.
When we identify barriers, we prioritize them based on impact and address them in upcoming releases.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content on our website may not yet be fully accessible. Embedded third-party content (such as the ADP careers widget and external video players) may have accessibility limitations we cannot directly remediate. We are working with our vendors to improve these areas and provide alternative access paths where possible.
