ESSER II Funding Eligibility
Last updated:
August 2026
STAR Autism Support's curriculum, professional development, and coaching services are allowable uses of Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) II funds under the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations (CRRSA) Act.
How STAR programs align with ESSER II
ESSER II funds are intended to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the impact of COVID-19 on elementary and secondary schools. Permissible uses include addressing learning loss, supporting evidence-based interventions, and providing professional development for staff.
STAR programs directly support these aims for students with autism and other developmental disabilities, who were disproportionately impacted by school closures and remote instruction.
Permitted uses
Purchasing STAR Program, Links, and SOLER curricula to address learning loss for students with disabilities.
STAR coaching and professional development for special education staff.
STAR Online Learning System (SOLS) for synchronous remote instruction.
Implementation of evidence-based practices supported by STAR's research-validated programs.
Documentation we can provide
For districts using ESSER II funds toward STAR programs, we can provide research-validation documentation, fidelity data, and outcome measurement supports to assist with reporting requirements. Contact our team for specifics.
